FAQs

In-home measurement, template, all cutouts and other fabrications (including your choice of 5 edge profiles, delivery and basic installation). Specialty fabrication options may be an additional charge.

Although some materials can handle this, or can be repaired after abuse, we always recommend using a trivet and cutting board.

This depends on several variables including the type of stone, the height of the countertop, the base of the countertop and whether it has any cutouts. For the most reliable answer to this question, please see one of our countertop experts.

Granite and Quartz countertops will be 3 cm of solid material.

This depends on the accessibility of the job site and the size of the slab. Slab sizes vary from product to product.

Stone countertops purchased at NFM must be installed by our team.

NFM will measure and install countertops within a 75‑mile radius of the NFM Store.

A visit will be made to your house to measure your countertop. This measure visit is free for customers up to 75 miles from the store. There is a one‑time fee of $3.50/mile for any mile after the 60th mile up to the 75‑mile maximum limit for the installation trip. There may be a minimum of 30 square feet work needed for special order countertops.

Typical turn-around time from template to installation is approximately 4 weeks. Please be aware that material availability, special order product and changes to an estimate based on field measure may increase the length of time between the template and the installation.
