With all the inviting heft of a Victorian chesterfield sofa, the Shoals Tufted Sleigh Bed features deep button-tufting and exaggerated rolls and arches on headboard and footboard. The oak side panels and lower rails are detailed with molding and finished in a scrubbed stain that brings out the grain of the wood. The natural beauty of cathedral-sawn flaky oak takes center stage in the exquisitely crafted eleven-drawer Light Keeper's Dresser. From top to bottom the dresser is rich with artisanal details: cove molding around the top and base; a concave upper box banded with chevron carving; and wooden pegs on the bracket feet. The scrubbed finish serves to open up the wood and brings out the beauty of the grain. The charmingly simple frame of the Smith's Bayou Mirror is constructed of expertly mitered cove molding with a gentle arch that echoes the shape of the Shoals Sleigh Bed.
